Day-wise Itinerary
Day 1 : Saturday – Welcome Aboard in Mumbai
- Arrive at Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus (Fort Area) by 3:30 PM.
- Traditional welcome and check-in for your journey through Maharashtra’s royal landscapes.
- Settle into your elegant cabin aboard the Deccan Odyssey.
- Depart Mumbai as the train sets off toward Nashik.
- Enjoy a delectable dinner onboard and your first night on this opulent train.
Day 2 : Sunday – Sacred Nashik & Sula Vineyards
- Begin your day in Nashik, known for its religious heritage and vineyards.
- Walk along the sacred Godavari Ghats witnessing Hindu rituals in motion.
- Explore vibrant local markets filled with spices, seafood, flowers, and more.
- Visit the famous Sula Vineyards for a guided tour and wine tasting experience.
- Learn about winemaking and sample their finest red, white, and sparkling selections.
- Enjoy lunch amidst the vineyards before returning to the train.
- The Deccan Odyssey departs for Aurangabad. Dinner onboard.
Day 3 : Monday – Ellora Caves & Aurangabad
- Arrive in Aurangabad, named after the last great Mughal Emperor, Aurangzeb.
- Drive to the UNESCO-listed Ellora Caves – 34 rock-cut temples dedicated to Hindu, Buddhist, and Jain faiths.
- Marvel at the colossal Kailash Temple, an engineering masterpiece carved from a single rock.
- Return to the train for a leisurely lunch.
- Enjoy the rest of your day onboard – relax with a movie, spa treatment, or traditional Indian board games.
- Cocktail hour and dinner as the train continues toward Ajanta.
Day 4 : Tuesday – Timeless Art at Ajanta Caves
- Morning excursion to the Ajanta Caves, a breathtaking UNESCO World Heritage Site.
- Admire 30 rock-hewn Buddhist caves adorned with frescoes and sculptures, reflecting spiritual devotion and artistic excellence.
- Return to the train for lunch.

Day 5 : Wednesday – Cultural Heritage of Kolhapur

- After an early lunch onboard, begin your cultural exploration:

- Arrive at Sindhudurg, a historic coastal destination in Maharashtra.
- Excursion to Pinguli Tribal Village to interact with local artisans and witness a traditional puppet show.
- Visit the majestic Sawantwadi Palace for a cultural immersion featuring a folk dance performance and authentic Malvani cuisine lunch.
- Return to the train by late afternoon.

Terms & Conditions
- Deccan Odyssey Train Tour is Operated by Tourism Dept of Maharashtra State Govt in Joint Collaboration with private travel agency (Ebix Cash)
- Liability of Royal Indian Trains is restricted only to that of booking agent of Principal Train Tour Operator
Booking Procedure
- Advice preferred date of journey & number of cabins required
- We require passport copies of all passengers to process booking
- Booking will be confirmed on receipt of Minimum 20% (twenty) advance deposit of Ticket Value
- Balance Payment must reach us atleast 46 days before train depart
- Booking Request made less than 46 days before tour depart will be confirmed on receipt of ONE TIME full amount of ticket value
Cancellation Rules
- Request for cancellation must be made in writing & acknowledged by Royal Indian Trains
- Nil Cancellation fee – if booking cancellation request received more than 61 days prior to train tour depature date
- Minimum 20% of ticket value will be charged as cancellation fee - if request received between 61-47 days prior to train tour depart
- Minimum 50% of ticket value will be charged as cancellation fee - if request received between 46-32 days prior to train tour depart
- Full 100% of ticket value will be charged as cancellation fee - if request received less than 32 days prior to train tour depart
- In case Train Tour Operator decides to cancel the scheduled train depart due to low occupancy/technical reasons, you will be informed in advance & full advance received for Train Tour booking will be refunded as per Reserve Bank of India (foreign exchange) rules - with no further liability of Royal Indian Trains
Important
- All foreign nationals require Visa to enter India & guests are adviced to self apply for Indian Visa, atleast 30 days prior to scheduled arrival in India
- There is no provision to issue Tour/Travel insurance policy from India & guests are adviced to pre-purchase same from country of origin of travel
- Disputes (if any) are restricted to Jurisdiction of Courts of New Delhi (India) only Enquire Now
